A BELIEVER CANNOT BE CUT OFF FROM CHRIST  

This teaching has been seen through many lenses but there is something that the Holy Spirit is speaking to my heart that I want to share with us

(JOHN 15 1-6 ) 1 ¶ I AM THE TRUE VINE, AND MY FATHER IS THE HUSBANDMAN.2 EVERY BRANCH IN ME THAT BEARETH NOT FRUIT HE TAKETH AWAY: AND EVERY BRANCH THAT BEARETH FRUIT, HE PURGETH IT, THAT IT MAY BRING FORTH MORE FRUIT.3 NOW YE ARE CLEAN THROUGH THE WORD WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN UNTO YOU.4 ABIDE IN ME, AND I IN YOU. AS THE BRANCH CANNOT BEAR FRUIT OF ITSELF, EXCEPT IT ABIDE IN THE VINE; NO MORE CAN YE, EXCEPT YE ABIDE IN ME.5 I AM THE VINE, YE ARE THE BRANCHES: HE THAT ABIDETH IN ME, AND I IN HIM, THE SAME BRINGETH FORTH MUCH FRUIT: FOR WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING. {WITHOUT ME: OR, SEVERED FROM ME}6 IF A MAN ABIDE NOT IN ME, HE IS CAST FORTH AS A BRANCH, AND IS WITHERED; AND MEN GATHER THEM, AND CAST THEM INTO THE FIRE, AND THEY ARE BURNED.

I started by asking if a believer could be cut off from Christ? But the answer is NO.

JOH 6:37 ALL THAT THE FATHER GIVETH ME SHALL COME TO ME; AND HIM THAT COMETH TO ME I WILL IN NO WISE CAST OUT.

Those who abide in Christ are those who were taught about the kingdom before resurrection. That was why they could be cut off if they do not abide since they were not born by the word of God. A product of the word does not need to abide because he is one with the word because he is born of the word which abides forever in the New Creation

After the resurrection of Christ many things changed. A man could be borne by the word and become the son of God being led by the spirit.

  JOHN 1: 12 BUT AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, TO THEM GAVE HE POWER TO BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, EVEN TO THEM THAT BELIEVE ON HIS NAME:

ROM 8: 14 FOR AS MANY AS ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, THEY ARE THE SONS OF GOD.

1PETER 1 23 BEING BORN AGAIN, NOT OF CORRUPTIBLE SEED, BUT OF INCORRUPTIBLE, BY THE WORD OF GOD, WHICH LIVETH AND ABIDETH FOR EVER.

It was not so before the cross. That was why they needed to keep abiding in Christ by their efforts to keep the word in their minds. A new creation is one with Christ. He does not need to be told to abide in Christ because he is a member of His body and cannot be cut off unlike the people before the cross. The word abides in the believer forever. This teaching was a shadow of this verse of scripture revealed by the Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul

1CO 12:27 ¶ NOW YE ARE THE BODY OF CHRIST, AND MEMBERS IN PARTICULAR

A believer cannot be cut off from Christ because he is a part of His body

What the New Creation needs is to grow in grace through the knowledge of Christ he had been made one in the spirit. When a believer is weak in faith, it does not mean that he has been cut off from Christ.

ROM 15:1 ¶ WE THEN THAT ARE STRONG OUGHT TO BEAR THE INFIRMITIES OF THE WEAK, AND NOT TO PLEASE OURSELVES

GAL 6: 1 ¶ BRETHREN, IF A MAN BE OVERTAKEN IN A FAULT, YE WHICH ARE SPIRITUAL, RESTORE SUCH AN ONE IN THE SPIRIT OF MEEKNESS; CONSIDERING THYSELF, LEST THOU ALSO BE TEMPTED

ROM 14: 1 ¶ HIM THAT IS WEAK IN THE FAITH RECEIVE YE, BUT NOT TO DOUBTFUL DISPUTATIONS

He is a member of His body. So we should have rest and do good work because we are one with Christ forever and cannot be cut off from Him. Those who were led by the mind could be cut off because the mind cannot retain the word forever but the word abides forever in the New Creation because they are borne by the spirit.

This is the Good News. God and man are one in Christ. We should not count on what we do and discount what Christ did on the cross.

A believer cannot be cut off from Christ .We bear fruit because we are in Him not because we would be cut off.

YOU HAVE TO BE A NEW CREATION.

  YOU HAVE TO BE A NEW CREATION. The definition and description of the the New Creation can ONLY be in Christ.  .He can't exist anywhere else.. 2 Corinthians  5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. This means that without Christ death, burial and resurrection, there would not have been anything like New Creation.  The emergence of this new Creation has been the divine project God had  before the foundation of the world. When God and man would be one in common ground.  That was why God was not living in Adam. He was visiting.
