IT IS HEAVEN AT FIRST, NOT HEAVEN AT LAST.
IT IS HEAVEN AT FIRST, NOT HEAVEN AT LAST.
I have heard many preachers teach that those who are In
Christ should strive to make heaven at last. I was in that shoe before when I
was in ignorance of the knowledge of Christ and his finished works on the
cross. The ignorance of Christ and his finished works on the cross have given
believers wrong mindset in their walk with God. Many believers have been doing
good deeds for wrong reasons because the want to please God by their works
instead of living by what Christ had already done for us and do good works.
WRONG TEACHINGS AND
FALSE DREAMS INTERPRETATION HAVE LEFT MANY BELIEVERS IN THE QUANDARY OF SERVING
GOD IN ORDER TO ESCAPE HELL FIRE INSTEAD OF SERVING GOD TO ENJOY THE
RELATIONSHIP HE HAD MADE FOR MAN IN CHRIST WHEN WE BELIEVE.
One thing we should get clearly is that God cannot reward us
with everlasting life based on our works .It is a gift of grace to those who
believe in Christ not a reward to those who work for it.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and
believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into
condemnation; but is passed from death unto life..
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he
that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on
him.
John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one
which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life:
If it were so Christ would not have come because the law
condemned man to live by the works of the law as a measure to righteousness
which was no righteousness because true righteousness comes by faith in Christ.
Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the
grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
21 I do not make the grace of God
of no effect: because if righteousness is through the law, then Christ was put
to death for nothing. (BBE)
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the
mouth confession is made unto salvation. (KJV)
10 For with the heart man has
faith to get righteousness, and with the mouth he says that Jesus is Lord to
get salvation. (BBE)
There are many scriptures that are wrongly interpreted to
keep many believers in frustration instead of edification.
Some of these scriptures are
1.Mkr 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole
world, and lose his own soul?
This scripture is not refereeing to believers. Christ was
comparing wealth and salvation. He was talking to the unbelieving Jews. Remember
at this point he had not being crucified.
2.( Mt 7:13-14) Enter
ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that
leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: {strait: or,
narrow}14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto
life, and few there be that find it. {Because: or, How}
The pressure that
should make a believer to wake up is the desire to preach the good news to the
dead world to know Christ not for them to make heaven.
When a person is born into a family, he does not labor to be
a member of that family again. He does not work to be called a member of that
family. His work is to project the image of the family not to become a member.
We are born into the family of God.
Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but
fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
19 So then you are no longer as those who have no part or place in the
kingdom of God, but you are numbered among the saints, and of the family of
God, (BBE)
Ro 8:17 ¶ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified
together.
One of the things we receive as birthright is everlasting
life. It is not what we work for. It is ours by grace through Christ.
1Co 9:16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of:
for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!
Ro 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is
written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!
1Co 15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which
was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they
all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
I have seen may congregations manipulated because of the
fear of hell. None of them are kept because of the joy of the heaven that
Christ qualified them to. Any congregation who feeds on the messages of hell
will never grow to know who they are in Christ. We are not born into the
kingdom of God by our works. Neither do we make heaven by our work. At times I
weep for many believers who are doing the work of God for the fear of hell
because they do not know that they died with Christ and rose with him. We are presently
seated with him at the right hand of God which means the highest position of
power and authority .Above all Christ is in us and us in Him.
Rom 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also
live with him:
Col 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead
with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the
world, are ye subject to ordinances, {rudiments: or, elements}
2Ti 2:11 It is a faithful
saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:
Col 2:12 Buried with him in
baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation
of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Col 3:1 ¶ If ye then be risen
with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the
right hand of God.
Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus
We do the work of God because we are in Christ and one with Christ to save souls from hell
not because we want to make heaven . No man can make heaven by works
Thank you Jesus.
